Volcanoes are being classified into three groups: active, dormant and extinct. A volcano that is erupting or has erupted during historic times is called active; volcanoes that appear recent but have no recorded activity other than the quiet escape of gas are called dormant; and a volcano in which there is no evidence of any activity is considered extinct.
And FDA Founder/President Rizalina Abuel’s association with Toastmaster International illustrates a spark of resemblance to a typical volcano. Two years back she has garnered three Best Speaker Awards in Prepared Speech category, but like a dormant volcano she has been in the inactive state for a moment yet still capable of erupting in the future.
Volcanoes may remain dormant for a long period of time but not for the Digerati President whose perkiness was regained when she was invited by The Kingdom of Wit organized by Oasis Achievers to courageously speak boldly in a huge audience of various genres just like real “Diamonds,” on the 13th of January, 2010, held at Samaya Hotel in Deira, Dubai. U.A.E.
In delivering Project No. 5, through the use of “Body Language,” she simply illustrated and emphasized the points she was making which helped to dramatically increase her speech’s effectiveness. Though feeling anxious, her gesture, movement and facial expressions contributed to release any nervousness she had. Just like an angry volcano, she returned with a vengeance as she bagged once again the Best Speaker Award amongst her fellow contenders.
Going to extinction is not meant for Madam Toast Master Lina for her passion for Public Speaking will not be put to rest. In contrast to the extinct volcanoes which are considered unlikely to erupt again because they have become cut off from its magma supply, her unparalleled communication skills will continue to flourish like gas emissions from the crater’s mouth; behold, for she will never stop erupting.
